  Views of Lake Austin with great coffee and dessert. Fabulous place to work/study outside or have a casual hangout with friends or your loverrrr.

  Alamo Drafthouse

  By far the best movie theater experience ever. So great in fact, that they had to open 2 more in Austin. I can't wait for this place to open up nationwide. This place has waiters serving you food AND beers (not just budlight) during the movie, and they have student prices too! The food selection isn't so bad either.

  Rudy's BBQ

  BBQ place connected to a gas station. How bumpkin can you get? I go there mainly for the cream corn. I'll have a quart please. :) Extra moist brisket is also yummy drenched in bbq sauce. It's also a treat to play with the hand washing machine.

  6th Street on a Thursday Night

  College prices all night long. $1 beers everywhere! You can't go wrong, except if you have an exam or a big meeting early Friday morning.

  Hamilton Pool

  When it's hot, fear not! There are so many places to cool off the TX heat. Makes you feel like you're definitely out of the city when you can enjoy a waterfall, in a cavelike natural preserve.
